The perfect location for a romantic rendezvous on any day of the year, The Peninsula Hong Kong is bringing an extra touch of sparkle to St. Valentine’s Day 2018 with an alluring array of celebratory menus and delectable promotions.
St. Valentine’s Day Dinner at Felix
With its avant-garde décor courtesy of maverick French designer Philippe Starck and unrivalled views of Victoria Harbour, there are few more impressive settings for a Valentine’s Day meal than Felix. This year, The Peninsula’s fêted 28th-floor restaurant and bar is celebrating with a five-course St. Valentine’s Day dinner that includes Hokkaido scallop tartare with caviar, crispy potato and Crème Fraîche; pan-fried duck liver with duck liver royale, quince jam and balsamic reduction; and roasted red prawn with sourdough chips, burrata, tomato and basil oil. For the main course, diners have a choice between the enticing pan-seared kinmedai fillet with red wine butter, crushed green peas and pea shoots or the Wagyu beef tenderloin and mushroom in puff pastry with black truffle jus. The St. Valentine’s menu climaxes with chocolate sphere with clementine compote, chocolate foam and white chocolate ice cream as dessert, followed by coffee or Peninsula teas and petits fours.
St. Valentine’s Day Dinner at Gaddi’s
With a reputation for culinary finesse that stretches back to 1953, Gaddi’s has been one of the most coveted St. Valentine’s Day reservations in Hong Kong for more than six decades. The much-loved French fine-dining restaurant continues that proud tradition with a special five-course St. Valentine’s Day dinner menu that demonstrates Chef Xavier Boyer’s creative take on Gallic cuisine to its fullest.
The menu begins with Hokkaido sea urchin with spicy avocado and lobster jelly, followed by Brittany scallop dumpling with kaffir lime foam and Kristal caviar, and then pan seared John Dory, citrus, leeks and black truffle. An indulgent main course of roasted pigeon with hazelnuts and pear precedes a delightful dessert of red sugar pearl with light cassis cream, red fruit and almond ice cream, with coffee or Peninsula teas accompanied by Valentine’s chocolates and petits fours on hand to round out a memorable meal.
Romantic Dining Menus
Having played host to countless special occasions and memorable dinners over the years, The Peninsula’s array of much-loved restaurants will once again be making Valentine’s Day dreams come true with a variety of tempting set menus. Priced on a per-couple basis, the following menus
are available on 14 February 2018. Particularly noteworthy is the opportunity to dine at The Pool, a venue that is open to the public just once a year.
